So, I think the general (mis)understanding, was that we thought it was expected
of us to choose one of the 5 groups, and within those groups, we would all have
to decide on one single, specific topic to focus on.  For example:
Group: Immigration/migration
Topic: Headscarves
Objective: Everyone in group goes out and researches a specific topic dealing
only with the headscarf issue, comes together and creates performance based
presentation on the headscarf issue.

When...(in my understanding) it actually goes a little more like this:
Group: Youth Culture
Topic(s): Media, Arts and Social Life in Youth Culture
Objective: Anne Marie-researches Gay culture within youth culture,
Lauren-researches drugs and alcohol/social dancing, Kareem-researches Youth
culture in film/film's influence on youth culture, Aya-researches fashion trends
in youth culture, Phil-researches music scene.  Then group comes together and
creates performance based presentation shedding light on each one of these
topics and their relation to the youth culture in Berlin.
