Dear group,
A reminder about privacy options for your blog (this came up in seminar a few weeks ago). You can opt
to secure your personal blog by taking these steps:
1. Go to "Customize"
2. From customize, go to "Settings"
3. go to "Permission"
4. Choose "Who can view this blog"? "Only people I choose".
5. Insert emails of all students in class and also instructor emails (and anyone else you choose).
Some thought on the Berlin Blog (and Honors blogs for Amsterdam, Rome, Argentina, Zimbabwe blogs).
Why blog?
*information resource (central site for information)
*interactive network/creating a focused on-line community
*central site to gather and organize research resources
*day-to-day communication tool to keep colleagues, friends, and family informed and engaged in your travel
plans and experiences abroad
*to encourage interest in Berlin and, more broadly, to promote and encourage international engagement
*public scholarship--share what we learn, share our process and progress which may inspire others to jump
in and become more internationally aware and engaged
*photo sharing
*international network of scholars (scholarly community across the globe, i.e. diplomacy)
*program archive that might be useful for personal; educational: career
